Is Chroming The New Strobing?

Because wearing lipstick on your cheeks is perfectly acceptable.

First came contouring, then came strobing, and now there's chroming? We know, we can barely keep up, too.

This new trend is all thanks to MAC Cosmetic's senior artist Dominic Skinner. The makeup trendsetter posted a pic to Instagram to showcase his chroming handy-work.

As you can probably tell, chroming is basically a fancy term for highlighting. But the difference lies in the type of product used. What is really interesting is that Dominic used the new MAC x Mariah Carey "All I Want" lipstick to highlight the model's cheekbones, brow bones and eyelids.

We've never considered applying lipstick on anywhere OTHER than our lips (or cheeks for a rosy flush), but this could be the start of something new.
