Should You Quit Your Job?

Maybe it's the heat or maybe it's because you want to spend all day at the beach, but somehow, you find yourself thinking of quitting your job and seeking greener pastures. Before you start polishing your resume, though, it's best to find out if you're really ready to quit.

1. Malacanang Palace declared yet another work holiday, and for some reason it's on a Wednesday. Because your team is in the midst of a new project, you...

	Are absolutely frustrated! The holiday will make you lose your momentum.
	Are absolutely ecstatic! You've been spending way too much time with your officemates and some of their antics have been getting on your nerves. The break couldn't have come at a better time.
	Couldn't care less. After all, you still have to turn in that project by Friday. You and your team will just have to work double time.

2. You worked so hard on your company brochure. With pride, you show the final output to your boss. He gives it a cursory nod and then proceeds to discuss another matter with you.

	You resolve to do better next time.
	You know that you did a great job and would have felt better if it was recognized. However, you know that your boss is not really the nurturing kind.
	You were not surprised at all by your boss's reaction. You blow steam with your girlfriends after work.

3. It's six o'clock on a Monday morning. You wake up with a big smile on your face because...

	It means going to the office, where you get to work on cool projects and hang out with your friends.
	You get to work on cool projects, never mind the office politics.
	You could smell the bacon frying in the pan. Your mom definitely knows how to make a nice breakfast.

4. In The Devil Wears Prada, you can see yourself playing...

	Emily Blunt's Emily. After all, to you, Miranda Priestly deserves all the veneration she gets. She's good at what she does and you're learning a lot from her.
	Stanley Tucci's Nigel. Sure, you've had your fair share of disappointments, but in time, you know that your talent and hard work will be rewarded.
	Anne Hathaway's Andy Sachs. There are limits to what you would do for your job.

5. Along with the other people in your department, you were asked to attend a product launch on a weekend.

	You and your work friends go shopping for new outfits ASAP so that you'll look your best at the event.
	You attend the event but take a French leave.
	You purposely forget all about it. After all, you're not being paid extra to work on weekends.

6. At the office, you are usually dressed...

	In your very best. It's always better to be prepared; you never know when you'll be called for a client meeting.
	Depending on what your mood is that day.
	Comfortably, usually in casual garb.

26. Just going through a few kinks! sayang, i'm kinda decided on leaving in the next couple of months. How do i know if it's time? Deep down i like what i do, but i don't feel the passion anymore. I wake up each day hoping that i don't have to go to work, which is not the case before. I don't like my ofc system and env't. I kinda want to start freelancing. help!

19. I'm Outta Here "The fact is, winners know when to quit and know how to quit efficiently and effectively. When the going gets tough, a winner can quickly determine if it's worth continuing. If there's a big payoff at the end of the road and there's a reasonable chance of getting there, it may be worth sticking it out. But more often, the road is getting rough because it's a dead-end road. Winners recognize this early and leave. Why waste life-energy on a fight not worth winning?"
