Plan Your Year-End Vacay: Singapore, Lah!
Posted on October 7, 2009 06:00 pm by Sharline Bareng

Sure, you can always get a bus ticket for Ilocos or a plane ticket to Boracay. But why not upgrade your holiday to an overseas getaway, even to somewhere as near as Singapore. Is it your first time to go? Breeze through Cosmo's Singapore 101.
Getting There: Check Cebu Pacific for December rates and promos this early so you don't end up paying peak rates at crunch time. If you want to avoid long lines in ticket outlets, book your flight through their website, www.cebupacificair.com. No credit card? It's no longer a problem! You can now book online even without a credit card by opting to pay for your ticket in any Cebu Pacific payment center or partner banks within the day you booked. Upon reservation, they will give you a code that you can present to the payment center. Once paid, you'll get your flight itinerary the very next day.
Another option is to try booking for JetStar Asia flights. Check out www.jetstar.com.
Easy Does It: It's just three hours away by plane! And then, there are the attractions: you can take your pick from Singapore's many nature reserves, museums, theme parks, and other landmarks. Shopping for rare finds? Try Singapore's international shopping districts. And have we mentioned the yummy cuisine? Simply a must-try.
Must-See Attractions: If you love nature trips, we recommend Singapore Night Safari, which allows you to see nocturnal animals way of life. Camwhore away at popular spots such as Merlion Park, CHIJMES, and Esplanade. Hie off to Boat Quay and Clarke Quay for a taste of Singaporean night life.

7. actually we mostly ate at food courts (kopitiams) there, most malls have one. the one at the tampines mall actually had a Filipino food stall. there are marts near hdbs which also have food courts. fastfoods in singapore include: McDo, KFC, Pizza Hut, Burger King, Wendy's, Kenny Rogers and Carl's Jr. But I agree that your wallet must be ready to take a lot of damage. a double cheeseburger meal at McDo costs around P200.

6. Singapore is a very nice place. The cost of living there is a lot. Most restaurants are fine dining, you rarely see food courts and food chains. If you would like to take a vacation in SG you have to have an ample budget.
