WHO DESERVES YOUR VOTE? Exclusive Interview With Dick Gordon (Second Of 5)

Cosmo: Can you describe your leadership in three words?

Gordon: In three words? Firm but fair.

Cosmo: Before I go on and ask you about the issues, can you describe the modern Pinay? Who is she and who she should be?

Gordon: She should be able to be self-reliant. She should have character, not character she totally made up; she should show her character in her work, and show that she's a woman to respect. She should be able to read, do the computer, do her work, and be conscious of values so people will respect her at all times. And she should be always a person for others.

Cosmo: What's your stand on the RH Bill?

Gordon: I'm not going to make population an excuse for non-development. We have to make sure that the population gets schooling. At the same time, they have to have choice. If they think that two is enough, then they should be able to buy a condom or get themselves the right kind of birth control method. But I'm not gonna impose it. They can choose. The government should be able to make it available for them, but not to impose.

Cosmo: ON DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: How are you going to punish the guys who beat up women?

Gordon: I had a secretary in Olongapo and she was being beaten up by her boyfriend; I sent two of my burly people over there and I said, "You do this again and I'm going to break every bone in your body." He stopped. I told my secretary to get rid of him. And she did; now she's in the States. I don't want women being beaten up. Women should be loved, respected, and women should be able to make a choice. Sex is beautiful, it happens. So you must be responsible with it.

Cosmo: How about men who cheat on women?

Gordon: Men who cheat on women? (laughs) Well, it happens, especially in our society. It's hard sometimes, but you gotta make sure that you stay the course. Women also cheat on men, by the way.

Muntik na nga akong maging tourist guide kso bigla nman akong naipetisyon ng parents ko. kya maging matalino po tayo sa pagpili...si GORDON lang po ang kailangan ng ating bansa. sya po ang isulat natin sa ating balota

17. i go for gordon don't want to comment more about why i don't like the OTHER presidentiables but most people i know , they said their going to vote for gordon well sana manalo siya.. like before si ping lacson ung gusto ko sadly he didn't win .. dito kasi sa phils uso and palakasan and nadadaan tlga sa ADS ang mga tao. ayako manalo si ------ i dont trust him!

16. Madami ng matalino mg vote nowadays, and i think the only problem is may nandadaya.kahit people vote wisely na.. may leakage pa din sa govt.

9. I'm either for Gordon or Gibo. Manny Villar, totoo naman ung sinabi ni Jamby na si Villar nangangamkam ng lupa aba't yung sa pasyente namin sa clinic yung lupa ng lola niya nilagyan ba naman ng bakuran ni Villar! Hello Mr. Manny Villar hindi mo po yata lupa yan para lagyan mo ng bakuran!
