YOU, ONLY BETTER
Cosmo: What are your thoughts on corrupt politicians?
Delos Reyes: I hate the sin, but I cannot judge the sinner. But I really hate the sin and I cannot stand it, and because I hate it too much, I could no longer distinguish. I have filed so many graft cases with the Ombudsman. I really hate that because they suck the blood of my people, and my people are in a condition that they are so anemic. They are already pale, they are so white. Lifeless yet alive. These politicians keep on sucking and sucking and sucking, and so we educate them to be able to do something about it, and here's what we're doing at Kapatiran.
I think it's about time we stop sucking; we [should] revive our people. We resuscitate them, restore them, educate them, and [we] should be very particular with that education. Our children, bata pa lang, 6, 7, 8, they're already malnourished. Talo na tayo, [in] this generation pa lang, because they don't get the proper nutrition from the Department of Health. Why? Because walang pondo. In Brazil (my wife is Filipino-Brazilian, my kids studied there for three years), in a public school, nutrition is priority. Dito, noodles ang parati nilang kinakain. I think, what I do think about corrupt politicians, is that they have to be stopped. I will not lay down my life for it, so be it. But hopefully we could lay down our political life, our material life, our convenience, our luxury, our education. We just have to do something.
Cosmo: What makes you fun?
Delos Reyes: You know, what makes me fun, sometimes I just go to YouTube, watch funniest home videos, and I laugh alone.
Cosmo: Sir, what makes you fearless?
Delos Reyes: Fearless. Particular instances? Filing graft cases against corrupt officials.
Cosmo: How do you treat the women in your life?
Delos Reyes: I treat them with respect, with affection. I may not be too sweet, but there are times, like when they're sleeping or when they're cooking, [that] I just hug them.
