if u want to use cortal to have a miscarriage, then i would say no. yes, it can effectively affect an unborn child. aspirins are not good for fetus. kya sometimes, ur doctor would recommend a certain brand of medicines for pain relief, fever, etc.

using cortal may cause a miscarriage, if you are in a very very very early stage of pregnancy. but this is not the case fro everyone.

first thing that comes in my mind whenever I hear cortal is abortion. some said pa nga na when you want to abort, drink cortal sabay sprite. i don't think it' s effective. baka mas lalo lang magsisi kung may deffect un child paglabas.

haka-haka lang ata ang paggamit ng cortal...

but for sure if you will drink it it will have an effect if you are pregnant.
lahat naman diba kaya ng di pinapayagang basta basta lang uminon ng gamot ang buntis

delikado ang cortal na inumin pag preggy ka na. ;)

in case u wanna use it as contraceptive, inom ka ng isang tablet and a bottle of pepsi BEFORE your menstruation. so parang nagtre-treat ka lang ng sakit sa ulo.  example: Dec 25 ka nagkaroon last month, so dapat makainom ka ng cortal before Jan 25.

i think, its not a way of abortion to kase wala pang nabuo. POV lang... ;D parang pills din kumbaga.

i dont think so.. masama siya pag nasa 1st trimester ka ng pagbubuntis mo cause it may have a bad effect to your baby especially pag nsa 1st trimester ka kasi nabubuo yung parts ng katawan ng baby mo...

e anu naman dapat na gamitin ko na contraceptive???

Sweetie FYI there's has been a separate topic that talks about contraceptive pill and stuff, you might want to check it out for reference.

To continue, I’m not familiar with CORTAL, but since it is an aspirin as indicated on previous replies, here's my thought about this.

Aspirin is not a contraceptive pill and it won't offer any protection for not getting pregnant. More so, one of the reasons I'm aware that Aspirin can offer, other than being a pain-reliever, is that, it can to be useful in lowering risk of heart attack. For this case scenario, it should be prescribed by a doctor. Keep in mind that long-term association with aspirin (or with any drugs I would say) has benefits and risks.

Now taking aspirin during pregnancy is another story. A regular dose might cause problems for both you and your baby. This had been incorporated on a lot of study about aspirin being linked to increased risk of miscarriage that was largely associated on early pregnancy and conception.

I myself a Pro-life and it's good to know that you're too. Moreover, it's a sad reality that we often hear stories about women abandoned their children/infant, and worse having abortion to suppress them. I don’t understand the morbidity act that these women takes as killing their babies is no big deal.

If they don’t like having a baby in the first place, then it should be their utmost obligation not to get pregnant. And if they do, they should not resort on committing drastic measures such as abortion or induce miscarriage.

Sigh! Geez, I’m getting out of topic, anyways here’s an update with aspirin, recent studies showed that taking aspirin reduces heart attack by 30% (again, as what I usually suggest, consult a doctor before taking any prescribed drugs)

alam ko banned na cortal sa mga drug stores. but i don't if it's still sold in quiapo.

e anu naman dapat na gamitin ko na contraceptive???

aspirins in long term use causes our blood to be thin (that's why it's used to prevent the high risks of heart attacks, to prevent blockage) if u want to use an oral contraceptive, ask ur ob gyne abt it. madami kcing contraceptives with different effects on different pipol. he/she can help u better than us.

kung pain reliever lng din nman, mag mefenamic acid k nlng.

so don't take aspirins basta basta lng. d yan vitamins noh!  ;D

and pls no to abortion! be responsible!

 ;)

When guys have brain/crotch problems, it's usually the result of using one too much and the other too little.

Allow me to dig up this topic as researchers concluded that aspirin reduced the risk of preeclampsia. My stand, since this involves pregnancy better consult with your OB before taking any drug that in effect might produce adverse reaction.
