If you're looking for a model of resilience, let it be controversial sexy actress Katrina Halili, who is slowly but surely getting her life, post-sex scandal, back on track. To say that her fight is tough is an understatement, but it's one that Katrina is more than willing to push until the end. Barely ten days after Hayden Kho's sex videos of Katrina hit the Internet, the Senate brought to light the Anti Voyeurism Bill, which was filed back in 2007. It took Katrina’s plight for the Senate to finally approve the bill on June 5.
Katrina counts this as one of her victories, but the fight is hardly over. In her tell-all interview for Cosmopolitan magazine last month, the actress dishes the real story behind the videos, revealing that she had suffered from a guilty conscience even before the videos were released.
"Na-in love kasi ako sa maling tao," she tells Cosmo. "'Pag in love kasi, minsan hindi mo na alam kung ano 'yung tama at ano 'yung mali. Naging selfish ako kasi s'yempre friend ko si Dra. Vicki Belo. So inayos ko naman kaya ako nakipaghiwalay...ako, lumayo talaga ako. Matagal na akong lumayo."
The hurt may have mellowed for now, but Katrina continues to rally on. Her comeback in GMA's new telenovela, Rosalinda, just shows that her case is far from hopeless.
