Anne Curtis on Her Revealing Gown: "I guess I just have to avoid wearing stuff like that on TV shows"
The It's Showtime host admits she'll be more careful about her fashion choices on-screen.

After her birthday brouhaha on ASAP 18, Anne Curtis revealed she won't be wearing extremely sexy outfits onscreen anymore. "I guess I just have to avoid wearing stuff like that on TV shows. We all learned our lessons, but the good thing is at least I was able to prove it was a tangga," she said in an interview with Push.com.
The actress was referring to the Boom Sason gown she wore to her 28th birthday celebration on ASAP's February 24 episode. Anne performed Rihanna's "Diamonds" wearing a black gown with a sky-high slit. The day after her show, Cosmo.ph ran a story on the C-string, and suggested Anne could have worn it during her controversial performance.
Anne proved otherwise—later revealing on her Instagram account (see her post below) that she was "completely protected" wearing a tan swimsuit underneath her dress to prevent her from another wardrobe malfunction. "Boom of course knows what I was wearing, and that's actually what our theme was eh. Because when I said I was going to get wet, kailangan may hidden tan na swimsuit because it has to have that illusion na high slit, so na-achieve naman namin. At least the illusion worked 'di ba," Anne said in an interview with ABS-CBNnews.com

The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) later had a meeting with ABS-CBN executives to discuss the "proper code of decorum" that will be more "gender-sensitive" to the public. Bong Osorio, ABS-CBN head of Corporate Communications, said that the Kapamilya network "will continue to cooperate with the MTRCB and ensure that its programs will be in accordance with the gender sensitivity guidelines of the board."
ABS-CBN TV Production Entertainment Head Laurenti Dyogi added, “[The meeting] was just a dialogue lang naman. There was no case whatsoever. Of course we talked about the incident in ASAP but as they said, there’s no penalty. It was just a dialogue between the network and the MTRCB.”
A lot of Anne's fans and friends tweeted their support for the host, and her now-iconic dress has even garnered fans in the gay community. Case in point: this photo that went viral on Facebook and Instagram.

While Anne says she'll be be more careful of her fashion choices on TV, we thought her controversial frock was still stunning and very of-the-moment.
What do you think of Anne's dress? Despite the tan coverup, should she have opted to wear a less-revealing gown on ASAP? Or do you think she pulled it off extremely well?
