Criticism has been flowing hard and fast at Gigi Hadid, after her sister Bella posted an Instagram video of the Victoria Secret model seemingly mocking Asians on her Story.
Although it has since been deleted, the video shows Gigi squinting her eyes to look like what appears to be a Buddha cookie on their table, as Bella and Gigi dine at an Asian restaurant with their friends.
Twitter and Instagram users alike were quick to accuse Gigi of racism, with one tweet calling her out for causing major offense and another accusing her of being incredibly ignorant.
One user wrote: "imagine thinking gigi isn't racist b/c her intention wasn't to be racist. cannot relate", while another commented: "gigi mocking asian people is so offensive i thought she was better than that" and a third added: "I hate Gigi hadid like I use to dislike her but now I literally hate her because I just found out how ignorant & racist she actually is [sic]."
Some fans were quick to defend Gigi, though.
This comes as a photoshoot Gigi did with Vogue in November 2015 has resurfaced on Twitter, with users calling her out for wearing an afro wig, and accusing the model of cultural appropriation.
