Getting married in your teens is not exactly the usual move in this century, but there are some circumstances that call for extraordinary decisions.

Amber Snailham and Callum Firks, both 17 years old and residents of Bristol, England, have been best friends for years and have been a couple for a year. However, their endearing love story has turned bittersweet.

"Amber was diagnosed with bone cancer [when she was] 13 and has been treated at Bristol Children's House. She has had surgery and six gruelling months of chemotherapy that ended in July. However, in October Amber and her family were given the devastating news that the cancer had spread to her brain," explains Metro.

As it turns out, the top item on Amber's bucket list was marrying Callum.

"Thus, the couple's relatives and friends set about organizing a huge wedding in just a matter of weeks and raised more than £6,000 (around P373,317) to fund the ceremony after strangers pitched in," reports Mirror.

Last Friday, November 25,  Amber and Callum tied the knot at St. Peter's Church in Bishopsworth, Bristol.

Callum's mother, Vicky Bishop, was quoted as saying, "Under the circumstances it is sad, it's really sad. Amber has been through a lot, poor girl. But Callum has been there and stood by her. I'm really proud of him."

She said too that according to doctors, Amber may only have months to live.
