Celebs Inspire You To Run For Fitness This Holiday Season

Earlier this year, we dared you to get in shape by joining an international running event alongside fit local celebs. We hope you took our advice and got into the competitive spirit, because lots of celebs and global running champions were spotted at the recent Adidas King Of The Road championship marathon at the Bonifacio Global City grounds.

The Philippines is the first ever host country for the event, which was hosted by Rico Robles and Riki Flores. Pro runners and first-timers alike took over the city's roads, with some hailing all the way from Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, and Malaysia to compete for the "Adidas Southeast Asia King of the Road 2011" title. Thousands of runners joined the 5km, 16.8km, and 21km routes, but in the end there were only two winners: Gusti Gede Karang Asem from Indonesia and Mary Joy Tabal from Cebu.

Gorgeous gals like Iza Calzado, Isabelle Daza, and Jean Garcia dressed down for the event and donned Adidas shoes, jerseys, and apparel to help them run at their best. Some celebs reportedly even made personal breakthroughs in their running times, like Robi Domingo, Rich Hardin, and Karylle. Like these stars who put on their running shoes and went out on the streets in the name of fitness, so should you this holiday season when you would be eating to your hearts' content faster than you can say "holiday pounds."
