Spotted: Celebrities In <i>Alice In Wonderland</i> 3D Screening

The Johnny Depp-Anne Hathaway starrer Alice in Wonderland opened yesterday, March 4, and movie-goers of all ages flocked to the nearest theaters to see the fantasy flick based on the children's classic. Local showbiz folk likewise took a break to enjoy the film through the latest breakthrough in cinema: active 3D glasses.

While there are quite a number of 3D cinemas in the metro these days, Shang Cineplex at Shangri-la Plaza is the first to introduce the use of XpanD active 3D glasses, which make 3D movies even clearer and more exciting to watch. You can enjoy this at their newly-transformed Cinema One.

Powered by a specialized fast-switching liquid-crystal cell, the active 3D glasses provide better brightness and color accuracy, thus maximizing your 3D-viewing experience and providing a whole new dimension to cinema. They even look sleeker than your normal 3D glasses.

Celebrities and media guests were among the first to enjoy this new technology when they watched Walt Disney's Alice in Wonderland. The Tim Burton film was truly entertaining to watch, even more so because the 3D experience allowed you to almost be in on the action: you would practically duck your head when things start "zooming" at you. They look that real!
