It's been over a month since I got married and I'm loving every single day as a married woman. There are so many things I want to say about it—the wedding, the honeymoon, and fixing up our starter home...but maybe I'll just let the photos speak for themselves!

Our wedding picnic was held at the Ateneo de Manila High School Campus, where Ryan has taught for the past ten years. It was hot as hell, but the big old trees provided enough shade and shelter, and a soft breeze picked up in the afternoon that put everyone in a cool, laidback mood. We got the caramel-colored vintage Volkswagen from Don Roberto's Bridal Cars.

Ryan and I officially got married at our parish church, but we held a wedding mass in Ateneo High School's Kostka Chapel, and invited our families and friends to witness the reenacted rites there. We loved the homily given by our officiant, Fr. Francis Alvarez, S.J. What he said about our relationship was so beautiful, and the advice he gave us was so meaningful. It definitely was the highlight of that special day. Here's a video of his homily, if you want to check it out.

It was a simple picnic, with merienda fare courtesy of Pink Plate Food Company, my sister's catering company. Things went smoothly too, care of wedding coordination led by Alalay.Ko (of which my other sister is a part of. Contact them at 0917-5888032). A lot of our friends and family pitched in with decorating, coordinating, and making the event happen, which really helped in giving the occasion a very personal stamp. We couldn't have done it without all of them.

The wedding party was intimate, which was great, because we didn't need a reception program that would keep people distracted. Everyone had someone to talk to, there were outdoor games that they could play—jump ropes, badminton, even a ball and a hoop—which made all of us present feel relaxed and at ease.

Thanks to a honeymoon registry—instead of asking for actual gifts, we asked our guests to contribute to our honeymoon fund, courtesy of www.honeyfund.com—we were able to go to three islands in Hawaii. We went to laidback Kaua'i the Garden Isle, the bustling city of Honolulu, and the incredibly diverse Big Island of Hawaii.

We enjoyed every minute of our stay there that my husband actually considered staying indefinitely. We had a grand, grand time, made even more special because we were with each other. I'm so glad I met him, I'm so glad I married him. Here's to wishing you, too, will all be blessed with such a wonderful partner!
