Do you want Cosmo to help you make-over your life in 2010? Cosmopolitan Magazine is looking for one real girl who will be made over in its 2010 Make Over Your Life Campaign, from January to December 2010. This will involve a makeover plan for all aspects of her life: relationships, beauty, fashion, career, fitness, and overall self-improvement.

Once a reader is chosen, Cosmo.ph will document every aspect of her life makeover for the entire year, through videos, galleries, and a blog she will write herself. Cosmopolitan Magazine will also feature her as THE Fun, Fearless Female for December 2010, after the overall Cosmo makeover is completed.

To join this promo, submit an essay about why you need this total Cosmo makeover and a photo of yourself (the best you have). Email entries to webmaster@cosmo.ph along with your full name, age, occupation, company, and home address.

Cosmo will be choosing the winner based on why she needs the makeover, how well she writes the essay, if she is photogenic (since she’ll be getting lots of exposure!), and can devote time for all the shoots and deadlines for her year-long blog.

Deadline of entries is on November 10, 2009. We will be announcing the winner in both the magazine and the website.

  16. I read that the emails are bouncing back so I'll just post it here. I am a graduating tourism student by March. I'm 19 years old. I think my story will be much interesting because next year my college life ends, then I'll start looking for job and pursue my dream career. This make over will really help me look good especially when I will be undergoing job interviews and with the way I present myself to others. I think I can write a lot of things about my life . When it comes to relationships, I've had a traumatic experience when my ex boyfriend broke up with me and had another girl in our school. I want this make over so that I could share also to others how I will move on and start my life again after what happened. I may be a cum laude but that time I did not use my head when I was so hurt. I wanted to show everybody that our world may not end when we lost the persons we loved so much. when it comes to fashion, I only go for jeans and shirt. I go for classic clothes since it would stay for long according to my mom. I want to look as fashionable as the girls I saw on magazines or even on TV. I've always wanted the style of Anne Curtis.   14. I sent an email on the 13th of October but it bounced back. I may as well have this posted here... I strongly feel that I need a total makeover because I have been longing to overhaul my life in every facet. I have had so many experiences in my life that shaped what I am right now, good and bad and I think I am stuck in the rut where I am at now. I have become accustomed to the simplicity of my needs and the feeling of contentment but I know deep inside that I want more. I know I needed to change to make the most out of what my life has to offer. I have long been wanting to reinvent myself and I am starting to do it little by little each day. I have been in countless bad relationships but I have no regrets at all because such experiences has taught me how to deal with love and life better. On the beauty front, I have taken learning hair and make up on my own in order to enhance the way I look and present myself to others especially in the workplace. My career is flourishing right now as I have always been results-driven and goal-oriented. I just started training in order for me to join marathons. I have put on so much weight which started after I graduated in college and this has given me so many insecurities. I have battled with it for so long and have been always in pity with myself until I learned to accept who and what I am and what I can do to make things better for me by completely taking control of my life. I have also been dreaming forever to have my teeth reshaped because I grew up sucking my thumb thus my gum was deformed. I know there is still something that could be done to repair this. It is never too late. Through it all, I am happy but I know I could still have more. I still have some potentials that I need to tap inside me. I wanted other people to help me get to where I want to be and achieve my full potential. I wanted to be able to say I am truly happy without my deepest thoughts shedding a tear. I want to be able to feel empowered to go on and fulfill all my dreams with head held high, as other women my age would be able to emulate. I wanna be made over so I can shine and influence and make other people's lives better by showing them that beauty is not only skin deep, that true beauty transcends from outside looking in. I know I am not getting any younger and I can feel that anytime late next year or in 2011 I am going to get married already. Being able to be made over in all aspects of my life would be a great preparation as I continue to sojourn in my life anticipating that one big day. I know my boyfriend loves me for what I am and I will forever be his princess but I believe he would love me more to see the new me, completely empowered, confident, and strong-willed woman. I will still be the same me, only better...My character, my personality and mental outlook are all in my hands to shape and fashion as I wish. If there's something I dislike about myself, I will do something about it and part of that is joining this contest in the hopes that I will be chosen. The thought of being chosen as a fun, fearless female sends a different kind of thrill in my bones and as I continue with the little self make-overs that I am doing now (documented in my blogs http://littlemisskessa.com and http://ktquesttofitness.blogspot.com) I can only wish that the heavens be merciful to me and grant me this to-die for makeover.

And having said that, I don't only have to look good but I have to look the best that I can be. It's not an excuse to be lousy and sweaty just because you are now a mom or a housewife/ homemaker like me. I see to it that I have my own ME time each day to be able to face my darling hubby when he comes home at night. Looking good entails a lot of work which I think I can handle. Oh, did I tell you that I just love being pampered? With the COSMO total makeover, I will be pampered for FREE without my DH complaining for the bill haha And I would be able to see myself in your mag!   5. why I need this total Cosmo makeover i want 2 change my looks... 1. i have horrible curly wavy hair, i have tried straighting it, but nothing will work. my hair is way 2 plain,my clothes have evolved; my hair hasn't. 2. I have circles under my eyes...My hair strands..Two words: Brillo pad. 3.my teeth r perfect, since i am still with braces for a year,My stylist could cut my hair with her eyes closed. 4. from 1 to a 10, i rate my skin a 3 since it has dark areas, old scars,and i have dark knees and elbows.My high school friends assures me that "I haven't changed a bit!" 5. lots of people call me noodles or chicken since i have wimpy small arms... HELP!!! Im not receiving compliments on my hair and body anymore. oh yeah, iam black, i have brown eyes and also want 2 change the way i dress...My hair and skin tone match. Please i need your help Badly,my husband rarely notice me now because of this. Pick me please Thank u lots!!!!
