Earlier this month, Christina Grimmie was fatally shot after a concert in Orlando, Florida, and the world lost a vibrant, brilliant, and incomparable talent. Aside from her friends and family, few have grieved for Christina quite like the YouTube community, which is where the singer got her start. At this year's recent VidCon, they paid tribute to her with a beautiful video that left the entire audience in tears.
Presented by VidCon co-founders Hank and John Green, the video features a montage of everything from Christina's old YouTube videos, to her appearances on The Voice set, to a bunch of her friends and collaborators performing a rendition of her song "With Love." Before the video began, the Green brothers discussed how tragic of a month it's been for the United States, and encouraged people in attendance to buy "love is love" wristbands that would benefit those affected by the terrible mass shooting at Pulse nightclub the same weekend Christina was killed.
The video is the perfect tribute to the singer's beautiful life, but more than that, it's also a reminder of how important it is that everyone lives their lives "with love"—especially in times of tragedy.
