Facebook's New Feature Will Rescue You From Your Friends' Annoying Posts

Hitting snooze never felt so good.

The biggest benefit of being on social media is how easily we can connect with someone without physically being together; maintaining relationships is much easier now than it was just 10 years ago. But do you ever feel like it's too much? I often catch myself scrolling through my Facebook feed thinking, "We grew up together. I love you. I love your baby. But if I have to read one more update about how his poop is finally normal, I don't know what I'd do."

We all have our social media pet peeves. But instead of unfollowing (or worse, unfriending) someone, what if you could just take a temporary break from your cousin's passive aggressive statuses?

Take a break from your best friend's GGSS selfies for 24 hours and virtually welcome 'em back with open arms the following day with this new Facebook feature: the "Snooze" button!

The people behind FB have been working hard to make your News Feed more relevant, catering to your specific interests instead of bombarding you with TMI posts from your officemate.

A spokesperson from FB says they're still testing the new feature so don't panic if you can't find it yet. How will it work though? According to TechCrunch, all you'd need to do is "tap the drop-down arrow in the top right of someone's post...[Click "Snooze", and you can choose whether you want to Snooze someone for a day, a week, a month or permanently unfollow them."

Keep an eye out for this feature because it could be the answer to all your virtual prayers.
