Globe Telecom Gives Free Facebook Mobile Access for 3 Months

Starting October 31, Globe subscribers may access Facebook on their mobile devices for free--even without Wi-Fi!

Globe Telecom has an early Christmas gift for its subscribers: There will be free access to Facebook on mobile phones for an initial period of three (3) months!

Available to all Globe Prepaid, Postpaid, and TM subscribers using feature phones (phones with limited or no web access, and a limited ability to run third-party applications) and smartphones*, users can post, like, comment, chat, add friends, upload photos, share posts, and more on Facebook without the need for Wi-Fi. So that means even if you don't have a data plan, you can still access Facebook and be in touch with your friends this holiday season!

You can log into Facebook using the Facebook app or Facebook’s mobile site m.facebook.com, and if there is a link that'll lead out of Facebook, customers will be notified (with customer-suited data plan options) to avoid unexpected charges. There will be a one-click registration to one's data plan of choice to continue browsing without having to leave the Facebook site. Recommended data plans consider a subscriber’s available prepaid balance and/or the megabytes (MB) balance of the existing data plan.

But what if you're a prepaid subscriber and don't have load? Customers with not enough prepaid load can “loan” a 10MB data plan for only P10 which will be deducted on their succeeding reload so they can fully explore content outside Facebook, making the experience seamless and worry-free.

Globe is progressively rolling out the Free Facebook service to cover all its subscribers by October 31, 2013. Starting October 31, 2013, subscribers can dial 143# and select FREE FB to know more about Globe Free Facebook.

*Except BlackBerry. Free Facebook will soon be available to Nokia Xpress and Opera Mini users.
