Fil-German Maureen Wroblewitz, 19, bagged the top prize in Asia's Next Top Model (AsNTM) Cycle 5, earning her the distinction of being the first Pinay to win the title.

Maureen was the last Filipino standing after fellow Pinays Anjelica Santillan and Jennica Sanchez were eliminated. Ultimately, Maureen battled it out with Malaysia's Shikin Gomez and Vietnam's Minh Tu Nguyen in the finale.

Described as the "the youngest, the shortest (5'6"), and the girl with the least modeling experience" in the latest AsNTM batch, Maureen was definitely the underdog in the competition.

Then again, Maureen had a face that could stop traffic and, more importantly, true grit. With her win, Maureen also signed a contract with London-based Storm Model Management.

Naturally, Pinoys expressed their joy over Maureen's victory. Here are some of their reactions on Twitter.
