"Yes, I am fat, but that doesn't give you the excuse nor the privilege to shame me to anyone."

A Facebook page called Random Photos got flak from model Katrina Gumabao, one of Cosmo's 8 Sexiest Models for 2016, for using her photo in a meme about plus-size people.

Katrina responded to the meme with a Facebook post of her own. She addressed Random Photos in her post, saying, "It has come to my attention that you have used my photo as a meme in your account to bash people who are fat."

"You do not have any permission to use my photo which belongs not just to me, but also to my good friend Mau Aguasin because she took that photo," the model pointed out. "This photo was done in good taste and with good intention. It wasn't made for sites such as yours."

She added, "Yes, I am fat, but that doesn't give you the excuse nor the privilege to shame me to anyone. I could not care less about [what you think of] me because I honestly don't give a rat's ass as to what you say or think, but I do care however about the people who will read and see your meme. You have no right to make them feel bad about who they are and how they look. Also, you should not go around the internet planting thoughts of negativity into other people's minds. It's bad enough that you think this way. Why influence other people into thinking like you."

It still remains to be seen if the Facebook page will heed Katrina's request of taking down the meme using her photo.

It's also worth noting that not a lot of Facebook users were offended by the meme. In fact most of them were tagging their loved ones, teasing each other or having a good laugh together.
