Re-think your strategies. Direct action has always been your favorite approach to problems but it seems like this time it's not working with your sweetie. No matter how often you remind him to put his wet towels and dirty clothes in the laundry hamper, he continues to leave them lying on the floor. Even when you point it out to him he ignores you and you end up doing it yourself. It's time to change your strategy. Don't do anything. Let the dirty clothes and towels remain where he left them. It may be hard for you to do this, but you have to show him that you're not there to pick up after him. Single? Don't worry and over-analyze everything, especially about your current job. While nobody's irreplaceable, your recent achievements in the office certainly justify your slipping off for a mini-vacation or even just relaxing at home with your feet propped up. There's no need to feel guilty.
