You've put in a lot of time and effort to make the relationship work but it seems as if it's not going the way you want it to. You're starting to feel that you're with the wrong person, and this is giving you a lot of stress. Being in a relationship is supposed to make you happy, not burdened. If talking about it with your sweetie didn't help, and you've already given it much thought, don't be too upset about walking away. Better to be unattached and stress-free, than to be attached and stressed-out. Single? Family may be good company today, but don't let them run your life by making decisions for you and controlling your expenses. When they start needling you into doing something you don't want to do, it may be time to put your foot down even though you love them very much and want to put them on a pedestal. You need your independence too.
