There’s no question about it: our February Online Hunk is mighty fine. Jiro Shirakawa is one of the bodacious bad boys who make up Cosmo’s 69 Bachelors for 2009. He also snagged the top spot in the Mossimo Bikini Summit in the same year, besting a slew of other sizzling, six-packed studs.

No wonder star-making firm Star Magic immediately took the half-Flilipino, half-Japanese cutie under their wing! Soon, you’ll get to see Jiro on the boob tube as he joins the star-studded cast of Your Song Presents: Gimik 2010, which airs this March.

But enough with the chitchat! For the entire love month, the 20-year-old hottie will be charming your pants off by being the perfect beau here on Cosmo.ph. On his first week as our February hottie, Jiro wines and dines you, dear Cosmo chicks, like a good boyfriend should. Valentine’s Day is coming up. Are you one of those cynics who believe that Valentine’s is just a holiday created by Hallmark to make money?

Hindi. Ako kasi gusto ko nagse-celebrate ng Valentine’s.

If you were to take a girl out on a date, where would you take her?

Gusto ko sa parang garden kami magdi-dinner. Sweet sa akin ‘yung dating 'pag nasa garden.

What’s are your turn-ons in a date?

Basta pareho kami ng likes and simple lang siya. Gusto ko simple lang e, ayoko 'yung maporma na wala naman sa lugar.

Name one thing that would totally turn you off on a date.

Gusto ko magpakatotoo siya habang nagde-date kami. Ayoko ng plastik. 'Pag plastik, natu-turn off ako. Kunwari 'pag kumakain, pasosyal, pero 'pag tumagal, hindi pala siya ganoon talaga kumain. Ayoko ng ganoon.

Are you into kikay girls who are maarte on a first date?

Kung na-meet ko siya na ganoon talaga siya, maa-accept ko. Pero kung nagbago siya along the way, hindi.

Would you prefer a date who watches her food intake or someone who eats just about anything?

Gusto ko pareho kaming malakas kumain!

Can you share with us any disastrous blind dates or first dates?

Blind dates, wala. Ayoko ng blind dates. Natatakot kasi ako, baka bading ‘yung i-set up sa ['kin] (laughs).

Not even if your trusted friends set you up?

Ayoko talaga!

Okay. Any other disastrous first date experiences?

One time, nagkulang 'yung pera ko on a date. Nalimutan ko kunin 'yung pera ko sa cabinet ko, so when it was time to bill out, kulang ‘yung pera ko. Nagpaabono pa ako sa kanya. Nakakahiya kasi ako pa 'yung nagyaya mag-date! Pagdating ng bill sabi niya hati daw kami, pero sabi ko, “Ako na lang, ako na lang!” Tapos pagtingin ko sa wallet ko kulang pala.

Did you see each other again after that?

Oo, nag-date pa kami.

Lucky you! Not all girls would've been as merciful. Usually on a date, do you prefer to pay or go Dutch?
