We totally dig rockstars--every single one of them. That's why we made Rico Blanco our Man On Fire for January--and now we're featuring popular Pinoy band Chicosci in Male Celebrity Spotlight before we end the month.
Cosmo got to chat with Chicosci recently at the Nike branch in Boni High Street, where they played a live set before a huge crowd. This was in line with the launch of Nike's limited edition iconic Sportswear classic, the AW77 hoodie. Sported by Chicosci in their music video "What's Your Poison?" the AW77 actually has a lot in common with the band endorsing it--iconic, edgy, and with a personality of its own.
After Chicosci performed their latest hits from their fifth album "Fly Black Hearts," Cosmo tried to squeeze in a short chat with band members Miggy Chavez, Mong Alcaraz, Calde Calderon, Macoy Estacio, and Ariel Lumanlan.

Cosmo: Who writes your songs?
Miggy: All of us.
What inspires you to make music?
Miggy: Life experiences, kasi we've been through a lot! We're regular people and we choose to write about our regular lives.
Cosmo: What's your relationship status?
Miggy: I'm single. A little too single, if you ask me!
Mong: Not married.
Ariel: In a relationship.
Calde: Not married.
Macoy: In a relationship! I have a girlfriend.
Cosmo: What kind of girl would easily get your attention?
Miggy: 'Yung sexy! 'Yung nagbabasa ng Cosmo! Of course, the Cosmo readers--smart, independent, comfortable with their sexuality. A girl who doesn't take herself too seriously.
Mong: Simple lang, mabait, maalaga, simple lang pero rock. Someone willing to set aside time for me, the same way I would set aside time for her.
Miggy: 'Tsaka walang baggage, please.
Mong: 'Tsaka sexy nga pala. (Laughs.)
Ariel: Big... brain. (Laughs.) Basta understanding lang.
Mong: Loving, caring, and understanding.
Ariel: [Her] kili-kili. It should be smooth like a baby's bottom. (Laughs.)
Macoy: 'Yung simple lang, okay 'yun. Simple lang.. Pero rock! (Laughs.)
Cosmo: What was the best part of 2010 for you?
Miggy: The best part of 2010, I guess, [was] when we played with Glassjaw in Hong Kong. Glassjaw is one of the bands that influenced us to form this band. So, sharing the stage with our idols.. sobrang saya.
Mong: The best part of 2010 would be, well... Growing up, my idol was Michael Jordan. And to have my face part of a group, [on a billboard] outside the Nike store is a very good part of 2010. Hindi ko naisip nung grade school na I'd be with Nike like my idol, Michael Jordan.
Miggy: Ay oo, that, too! That, too!
Ariel: The best part of 2010 is being part of the Nike family and Tanduay. Also, touring the Philippines! Yeah!
Calde: Best part of 2010 would be the Lakers winning the championship.
Makoy: The best part of 2010 for me was when we played in Baybeats at Singapore. It was great!
Cosmo: What would you like to change in 2011?
Macoy: No more smoking for me.
Miggy: More billboards. (Laughs.) Gusto kong magsulat ulit. Para mas gumaling kami. E sa ngayon hindi pa kami masyadong magaling e. So sana sa 2011 magaling na kami. 'Yun. Less sugar and no more nicotine.
Macoy: I will drink milk everyday!
Miggy: Nananawagan pala ako sa Cosmo ha. I think you overlooked a few dudes [when you picked your 69 Bachelors]! We're actually very macho. I have my leopard print briefs already!

3. I'm one of the avid fans of Chicosci. I follow them wherever it takes as long as I can! Heehee :)) I was informed that they're here so I hurriedly made an account. Thank you Cosmo for featuring them! Count me as one of your new reader :) I really love Miggy's humor. HAHA! :)) He's one of a kind. 1. i love chicosci. i love their music and i'm a HUGE fan. i love to watch them live! i hope next year they will be part of cosmo bachelors. they are all sexy,hot and rockin' ! :)
