We’ve been crushing on Diether Ocampo since he starred as the hunky Greg Ballesteros in ABS-CBN’s teen-oriented show back in the ‘90s, Gimik. But he has long since proven that he’s more than just a pretty face, leaping from the small screen to the big screen with movies such as Soltera (1999), Nasaan Ka Man (2005), and Only You (2009) that all made him a certified matinee idol. Film projects aside, he has made a name for himself in other endeavors, like being a model, musician, photographer, and even a staunch NGO advocate.

In 2010, he starts his year right with another sure-fire hit teleserye from his home network. In the local franchise of the Mexican hit Rubi, Diet will once again make your TV screens sizzle as he joins Jake Cuenca, Shaina Magdayao, and Cosmo February 2010 Cover Girl Angelica Panganiban in this star-studded soap.

With everything going on in his career, Diet is certainly one of the busiest actors in the biz. But even a star needs some downtime, too, and there’s no better time to kick back than during summer! Know more about Diet’s itinerary as he lists five goals for summer 2010. Find out if a topless stint on the beach is one of them!

1. Help The Kids

“Top of my list would be the charity event we annually organize for the Kid’s Foundation (Ed’s note: a children’s charity he co-founded). We will be bringing school supplies to kids in remote areas, things that they can use for the next school year. That is part of the program of the Foundation we launched three years ago.”

2. Travel Abroad

“I feel like I deserve a break. So this summer, I’m going to Hawaii or I might plan my long overdue trip to Europe!”

3. Have An Island Getaway

“If I could get away, I would definitely like to explore the Philippines. We have a very rich country so I plan to go to some remote island.”

4. See His Family

“This summer, I plan to visit my siblings in the States.”

5. Make Music

“My band members and I have been in hibernation for a while now, so I think it’s about time we come up with a new album for our fans. This summer, we are planning to record an album. We’ve been planning this since last year so I hope that it will push through this [time.]”
