Cosmo’s Man on Fire for October is certainly on a roll! After warming hearts in GMA-7’s All My Life, heating things up with his sizzling appearance on last month’s Cosmo Men supplement, and taking his sex appeal further with that water bottle stunt at the Cosmo Bachelor Bash 2009, 19-year-old Aljur Abrenica is now gearing up for big screen success with Nandito Ako... Nagmamahal Sa 'Yo, his first starring movie, now showing in cinemas across the country.

Cosmo caught up with Aljur to ask him about his newfound sex-god status, his onscreen and off-screen muse Kris Bernal, his secrets for making it in the mad world of showbiz, and cooking sisig! Click the “view gallery” button below to see behind-the-scenes images of his Man on Fire shoot!

Are there any sexy scenes we can watch for in Nandito Ako…Nagmamahal Sa ‘Yo?

Merong naka-boxer briefs lang ako. Meron ding naka-trunks nung nag-swimming kami. Sa tingin ko ‘yun na ang pinaka-sexy na nagawa ko sa movie.

What’s the sexiest thing you’d be willing to do?

Depende kung anong hinihingi ng masa (laughs).

At your Cosmo Centerfold shoot, you were topless. Now you’re fully clothed. Do you prefer it this way or go sexy?

Naipakita ko na e, so ano pang itatago ko? Okay lang sa akin ang sexy kasi ‘yun naman [ang] ginagawa ko. Naghahanda pa talaga ako e. At handa naman ako.

You’re not scared to be boxed into that image—that you can only do sexy?

Actually tama kayo, mas [nakakahon] po ako sa sexy. Pero hindi pa rin po mawawala ‘yung [kakayahan] ko sa acting. Talagang gusto kong maging versatile. Acting, singing—sumasayaw din ako.

How serious are you and Kris Bernal, your leading lady in Nandito Ako…?

Sa trabaho, seryosong-seryoso po talaga kami.

How about in “other” aspects?

Okay lang, ayos lang, masaya. Nagdadamayan naman kami sa mga problema. Tapos lumalabas kami.
