After a long and tiring day, cuddling up to your man can be the greatest reward. Creating a comfy space just for relaxing can instantly chill you out and make snuggling with him twice as nice. Here are four things you can do to get cozier on the couch:
1. Make it a pleasure palace.
Invest in decorative down-filled pillows in soothing shades (like cream) and textures that feel great. Buy at least two so you can sink into them when you flop on your couch. If your sofa fabric is scratchy, buy a smooth cotton slipcover.
2. Feel totally enveloped.
Choose a super soft blanket (such as chenille) to dive under or wrap up in with your man. Keep it folded over one arm of the couch, and only use it in your designated "comfort zone."
3. Try sensual mood lighting.
Create a soothing atmosphere by putting your living room lights on a dimmer. Or, boycott blaring bulbs and try uplighting: Install one peach-tinted floodlight in a canister (found at any lighting store) in the corner of your room—it radiates a calm vibe.
4. Stock up on goodies.
Fill a pretty, medium-size woven basket by the side of your couch with soft slippers, bottled H20, the remote, and the latest Cosmo, so your unwinding gear is at your fingertips.
