1. "Let's meet halfway" doesn't mean "Meet me in Fort."
Dear Alabang friends, halfway means Pasig and Ortigas. Why does everything have to be in Makati and BGC?

2. Commonwealth doesn't faze you.
Easy as pie, really! You know what's scary? C-5! And Makati with their one million traffic rules. Nobody understands Makati traffic rules. Even the people of Makati don't understand their own traffic rules.

3. Just hearing the word "Alabang" stresses you out.
Alabang is literally on the other side of the world. So if your best friend Sam invites you to her party in Alabang, you are sleeping over! You can't say no, Sam! Oh, and brunch in ATC? You would rather starve, thanks. Toll is expensive AF.

4. Nobody really goes to Ever Gotesco.
Okay, well maybe you do. Sometimes.

5. Working in the Fort and Makati area means leaving the house at 6 a.m. and going home at 10 p.m.
After working your butt off in front of Excel spreadsheets, you are rewarded with a two-hour drive or commute home. Congratulations! Welcome to the Philippines!

6. Katipunan is basically hell.
You dread passing Katipunan during rush hour because there is always traffic. And as much as you want to avoid Katip, you can't. YOU. JUST. CAN'T.

7. You know where all the good food places are.
North people are blessed with restos in Maginhawa, Marikina, and Kapitolyo. Can't get any better than those!

8. Trinoma, Robinson's Magnolia, Megamall, and Shang are everything.
We used to envy Makati girls for having all the good stuff within reach, but now we’re getting a lot of the good malls and stores near our neighborhoods, too (SO to H&M Megamall).

9. Dating a boy from Alabang, Paranaque, and Las Pinas is the hardest thing EVER.
You live in Fairview; he lives in Paranaque. It is essentially a long-distance relationship. You might as well break up.

10. You leave for a party an hour (or more) before schedule.
Because all (ALL!) parties are in Makati and the Fort. Dinner at your friend's place in Dasma at 8 p.m.? Yup, leaving at six. Curfew at 12? Leaving the party at 10 p.m.—or 10:30 p.m. if you’re feeling adventurous.

11. FOMO is way too real, but you love where you live no matter what.
You constantly question why you live so far from where all the ~*FuN*~ is. You still curse the day all the good concerts got moved to MOA Arena from good old Araneta, but as you sit in horrible Katipunan traffic during rush hour, you realize it really isn't that bad. At least you don’t have to pay toll every day!
