What Happened Behind These Amazing Transformation Pics Will Shock You

This photo was taken a few seconds apart!

Jessica Pack, a fitness Instagrammer behind the account Planking for Pizza, recently posted a selfie showing what seems to be a before-and-after workout photo.

But would you believe that photo was just taken a few seconds apart? It's Jessica's 30-second transformation post, and what makes her body look different in the two photos is her posture.

Pack writes: "On the left my posture is poor, I'm pushing my belly out as far as possible, I adjusted my bottoms to show my gross, unsightly and horrid love handles....On the right I'm standing straight and comfortably. I'm lightly flexing and I've adjusted my bottoms to hide my love handles. I'm thankful for bikini bottoms that now fit well and hide these."

So lesson #1: Good posture definitely helps you look fit, and it does make your tummy look flat.

Lesson #2: Not all transformation photos and #thinspo posts are 100 percent caused by intense workouts and diets, so don't be deceived. You might not even have to crush your body doing all those things; you just have to stand up straight and keep your stomach in.

Other fitness lovers also took photos of their own transformation to prove that posture, clothes, lighting, and editing can make or break how one's body looks in photos.

This user's transformation is thanks to a post-processing app:

"On the left is a normal picture, and the right is the edited version. Up until last night, I had no clue that you could edit pictures this way on an app (and how simple it was), or that girls actually did it."

This girl just changed into jeans and it made all the difference:

"Isn't it funny how much clothing (and lighting) makes a diffence? I knew spandex wasn't my friend."

This user's before-and-after pic reflects how posing is super important.

"In the after photo I'm holding my breath while flexing my abs and I have all my weight on my right leg to make my butt look more round and tone. I'm also arching my back a bit less to keep my stomach from sticking out. I have made amazing progress, though! I'm definitely not saying I'm not, but my progress will be more noticeable when I'm posing a certain way while flexing."

And here's another photo to inspire you to work out, eat healthy, and stand up straight.

Okay, you might still be doubtful that these Instagrammers really took some of these photos seconds apart. You might still believe that your friend's fitspiration selfie is all because of this diet or workout she's been doing. We're not discrediting any of those people's efforts. But you do have to know that we all adjust or pose for the camera, so things will look a little bit different when we're not being photographed.

If you're the type to fool your friends by posting edited fitspiration pics of yourself on social media, know that you're cheating yourself. More importantly, know that you're worth more than the likes and what people think of you. Progress is progress, and that's great in itself.
