Always Something There To Remind Me

My train of thought was interrupted when a guy in a dark khaki jacket and cap walked in. He wasn't very tall, but there was something in the way he walked and stood in front of the counter that made such an impact on me. He wasn't that much of a looker either, especially with that 5 o'clock shadow on his face and a days' old stubble, but there was something about the way he carried himself that made me and some of the women at the other table stop and take notice.

But, he wasn't the one person I was expecting that night. He wasn't Matt.

I sighed and took one more look before I drank what was left of my coffee. Not another one, I thought. This sort of thing happens to me all the time, back then, and then again. I always seem to run into people who look like him. It could be a guy in a coffee shop with messy hair, some guy wearing a bonnet and talking on his mobile phone while walking at the mall...

Anywhere I go, there's always a face that reminds me of him.

At least now, I won't have to go through that anymore because finally, I'll be seeing him again, I thought. So I finished my coffee and walked out of the coffee shop at exactly 8:45 that evening to meet Matt at the cinema.

Only then, he wasn't there.

  4. hi v! i've always been a fan of your blog. but doesn't have the guts to comment. hehe. i really feel for you. coz right now, i also have my matt and logan. that's why i'm really confused. but unlike you, my logan doesn't have an idea about my matt. and i'm so damn guilty about it! but still, i couldn't help it. he gives me this certain kind of adrenaline boost. maybe because i feel so secured with my logan..
