Throughout the first three seasons of Cosmo.ph's Bedroom Blog By Veronica, I tried to write about the different types of guys that women my age (or at least close to my age) meet in a lifetime. There's the Matt type--the worldly *sshole who keeps breaking the hearts of even the toughest women. There's the Sam type--the boy-next-door confidante who, unfortunately, suffers the worst kinds of relationships. There's even the Archer type--the beautiful airhead. And then there's the Logan type—the jackass, crazy, sort of dense type, whose failed romanticism techniques sometimes make you hate him as much as you love him.

I wrote about the types of people we meet on our journey to womanhood—the people who still believe in us despite witnessing how we've fallen from grace, the people who keep talking and spreading rumors behind our back, the people who keep pulling us down and condemning us for being different, the people who love us because we're not like anyone else, and the ones who stay with us through the years.

I wrote about my career, my friendships, my detractors, my relationships, and even my mom's operation, which opened my eyes to the ways I used to live my life. I wrote about how hard it was to let go of something that was never yours. I wrote about how frustrating it was to be betrayed. I wrote about the things I had to go through before finding someone who would love me for all the crazy shit I do. Believe me, it's hard to find someone like that when your standards are as high as the Empire State Building. But I did, and it's worth all the pit stops.

During our first Cosmo Chat, a lot of readers asked me if the characters and stories in Bedroom Blog are true. I answered this: Bedroom Blog by Veronica is part real life and part fiction. The names in the blog—Veronica, Logan, Matt, Sam, Franco, Chi, Lily, and everyone else—may not be real names. But as Vince O. Teves said in his first book, they are REAL people, as most of you have already proven when you chatted with me online or even met me in the flesh--right, Amie Perez?

I'm not perfect and I never will be. I will be forever biased and highly influenced by my closest friends and family. So whatever insights I write in this blog, please treat them as one girl's take on love, life, and relationships.

And speaking of relationships, Logan may not be perfect either, but I'm starting to realize that he's just the right fit for me. Pun intended. He's not always original when it comes to the biggest romantic gestures, which is why most of the time, his gestures fall flat; he also uses music to express his feelings. On the last few pages of our first shared journal, he decided to copy My Sassy Girl's "Ten Rules" but added another one to make it "Eleven Rules" since we celebrate our month-anniversary on the 11th day of the month. I didn't say yes to him on December 11, 2009, but we decided to celebrate it every 11th anyway because it's the number that meant a lot to us. So here are the 11 Rules that Logan wrote:

11 Rules About (real name deleted), My Very Own Sassy Girl

  1. If you want to be her lover, you have to get along with her family, especially with her dogs.
  2. If you are dating her, don't try to impress her too much—she will kill you. Just be yourself and don't forget the coffee—it calms her.
  3. If you're hanging out with her, you must be willing to do piggy-back rides, pulling her up the stairs, and kissing her a lot.
  4. She is moody at times, so you have to be patient with her. I mean REALLY patient.
  5. If you're trying to tell her something and can't explain it well, think twice or else it will get you into trouble.
  6. If she asks you to do something crazy or sweet, just go with it. You won't regret it.
  7. Don't tell her what to do. She would not listen anyway. But you can offer suggestions.
  8. She loves to write and she writes well. Read her work. She'll appreciate it.
  9. If she is not communicating with you in any way, you should come to her.
  10. If you love her and she forgets, take time to remind her by showing and telling her that you do.
  11. If she gives you her heart, take care of it and don't break it, because in return, she will take care of yours, too.

Eleven items aren't enough to list down the many rules when it comes to dealing with me, but Logan's list would suffice. After three seasons of Bedroom Blog by Veronica, even I couldn't believe that I'm finally in a meaningful relationship. Now that I'm already Logan's girlfriend, there are some things I would want to keep private. I hope you understand my reasons.

So, I guess this is goodbye, huh?

Thank you for reading me for three whole seasons. I hope that I have inspired you through my entries since my first post in August 2009. May you find your own love story and think of it as your own ‘bedroom blog.'

This is "Veronica" signing off...

NOT!

Who am I kidding? Of course, I'll be back with more stories to tell. Besides, if you think that landing [on] a man is a woman's ultimate mission...let me ask in the words of Charlie: "What the f*ck is wrong with you?!"

After all, finding a boyfriend is just the start of another crazy chapter in one's life, or in my case, the start of Bedroom Blog by Veronica Season 4.
