Closing A Chapter

"Deal with them," said Logan. "I mean, ako rin naman may issues, hindi nga lang katulad nung sa 'yo, pero I have issues, too. Issues sa career, issues sa bahay...lahat naman tayo may issues, e. You just have to deal with that and see where it will take us."

I feel rotten. So very rotten. At this point in my life, I really don't think I deserve Logan's unconditional love.

"Sure ka?" I asked.

"Yeah," he answered. "Binalaan mo na ako 'di ba?"

"Huh?"

"'Di ba sabi mo 'It's not easy to be in a relationship with a writer'? Na there will be times when it will feel like you're not there? Na there will be times when you'll want to be left alone to write?"

"Sinabi ko 'yun kasi 'yun ang general feeling when you're in a relationship with someone who's in the middle of writing a book," I explained. "I'm not writing a book."

"Same thing," he shrugged. "You want to close a chapter, 'di ba?"

"Yeah..." I was starting to see where he's coming from.

"Then go write your story," he said finally. "It's up to you if you still want to hurry back to me."

Logan and I had an agreement. He didn't want to break up with me but he gave me what I needed: time.

I never told anybody. I didn't change my Facebook status either because that would mean having to explain to everybody what the heck was going on with us. Again.

Besides, when you're reconnecting with your innermost self, the whole world doesn't have to know until you're done.

" ---- kaya sana mahanap mo narin sayo. think kung san ka talga magiging happy. Okay? you've inspired a lot of people, V, at isa na ako dun. you were one of the reasons kung bakit ang successful na ng relationship ko ngayon :))) I know you can handle this, even without asking and needing for a breakup. basta give yourself time to think, and let go past memories. tulad nga ng sabi mo, keep forgetting until there's no reason to forget. diba?
