Crazy Summer Part 2

Instead of crying, confessing her sins, and asking for an apology, the first thing that escaped Summer’s mouth was the last thing I ever expected from her: anger.

“Pinakialaman mo ang gamit ko?” she fired at me.

“Well, kanina pa kasi ring nang ring ang phone mo,” I explained. I felt anger start to burn inside me as well. “I thought it was your parents at baka hinahanap ka na sa bahay, so I answered it. Bakit baby ang tawag sa'yo nung sumagot?!”

And then she slapped me. She slapped me so hard, she broke my rear view mirror. She hit me three times while I tried to hold her off and drive at the same time. She was crazy. She opened the door while the car was still in motion and tried to jump off. I panicked. I grabbed her hand and pulled over again so we won’t risk getting into an accident. I parked the car in front of Diamond Motors in San Juan and tried to get hold of her as she continued to hit my shoulders. But when I grabbed her hands, she kicked me right on the chest and I started coughing badly. I thought that was it. But what happened next shocked me even more.

She stabbed my arm with a pen and walked out on me.

I didn’t feel the pain at first but when I saw the red stain on my pants, that’s only when I realized that my arm was bleeding. I drove to the nearest hospital to have the wound cleaned and my arm bandaged. Then I drove to Summer’s house and waited, to be sure she got home safe. Unfortunately, I didn’t get the chance to see her because she told her father not to let me in. After that incident, she immediately cut all communication and asked to be transferred to another team and schedule.
