I Don't Deserve Logan's Unconditional Love

"I'm being unfair to you," I reasoned. "And I don't want to be unfair to you because you're not the kind of person who deserves to be treated this way. You're the most unbelievable person I know. Unbelievable because you love me unconditionally and at this point in my life, I don't think I deserve it. I'm giving you this chance to break up with me so you won't have to put up with the excess baggage I've been hauling around all this time. These are the issues that I need to handle on my own."

I couldn't have said it any better, really. I've said so many things. I've written a thousand lines. I've dug out so many lines from my heart that were as honest as I could make them. I've said so many romantic things to the men I thought I loved madly. Heck, I've written an entire blog for Matt. But, if I were to pick one of the most honest lines I have said to someone who isn't family, it would be what I just said to Logan.

He finally spoke up.

"When I asked you to be my girlfriend, I knew that I would have to put up with all your b*llshit," he said. "They're part of who you are and I love you."

He sighed.

"I don't think we have to break up just because of this," he explained. "Kasi 'yang issues mo na 'yan, part lang 'yan ng pagkatao mo and it's stupid if I break up with you dahil lang diyan.

"Oo, nakakainis kasi ang tagal tagal na niyan," he continued. "Oo, nakakabwisit kasi hanggang ngayon 'di mo ma-let go 'yung hang-ups mo. Pero issues mo na 'yan before pa kita makilala, kaya wala naman akong magagawa kundi pagbigyan ka."

  2. Somehow I understand where is Logan coming from. When it comes to relationship there's no black and where for me, it's either US or not. I don't believe in cool-off. Logan has been trying to make your understand what he is all this time that you're so consumed with your long overdue issues. I felt Logan had to indulged you, you being yourself :D Oh well, there's always a first time.
