Gail. Non-confrontational, fragile, hot momma Gail. I knew for a fact that she had no idea Nicia deleted/blocked me on Facebook.

"Promise, V, I have no idea," she said over the phone when I called her during my lunch break. "I thought you were just busy, that's why you don't comment in Nicia's updates or something. I swear I don't know anything. Well, not until yesterday..."

"What did she say?" I asked.

"Well, she told me na parang galit ka sa kanya," Gail replied.

"Ako, galit? Paano akong hindi magagalit, e binura niya ako sa Facebook nang wala akong kaalam-alam kung bakit!"

"Well, baka si Ken 'yung nag-o-open ng Facebook niya. Baka siya 'yung naka-chat mo."

"Kahit na sino pa 'yun, the fact is, if they got back together and Ken wants her to end her friendship with me, sabihin lang niya!" I almost screamed. Poor Gail.

Silence.

"Sorry Gail, ha," I started. "It's just that it hurts. And it's so unfair. When she needed me to hate Ken, I did. I rallied behind her. I did what she asked. I was there every single day kahit nakakainis na siya sa paulit-ulit niyang problema.

"Pero kapag okay na sila, bigla na lang niya akong bibitawan na parang bato! 'Tsaka hindi lang ako 'yung friend niya na inaway 'yung cheater niyang boyfriend that time. Hindi lang ako, so bakit ako lang ang ginanon niya? It's so unfair!"

Gail wasn't able to say anything that would make me calm down. Not even Logan could say anything that could make me feel better. I went from mad, to sad, to disappointed, and back to seething. I began to hate Nicia for not fighting for one of the longest friendships she's ever had. I hated her more for treating me like someone she just remembers when she needs something. I hated her most for acting as if she never hurt me at all.
