"Just Let Me Be Wrong Now..."

"I'm not taking sides, Veronica," he explained calmly.

"Then why are you doing this to me, Sam?" I asked. "This is blackmail! You are so unfair! You're twisting my arm and using the BFF angle to make me apologize for something I didn't start!"

"I mean, come on, V," Sam pleaded. "Don't think na ikaw lang ang kinausap ko about this. I said harsh words to Ana; really nasty words that made her cry. I know marami akong hindi alam sa kanya, but one thing I do know about her is that she doesn't apologize basta-basta. Parang ikaw. Pareho kayo, actually. Her apology didn't come from nothing."

"How dare you compare me to her!" I fired back. "So, you're you telling me na napatawad mo na siya after everything you found out about her?! After all the lies and the infidelity and the backstabbing?! Gan'on lang 'yon? Gan'on lang 'yon?!"

"I don't know, Veronica!" he nearly shouted in my face. "I really don't know, okay?!"

We were silent for a while. Truth be told, I was shocked. But I guess I wasn't able to convey that. I just sat there, facing Sam, desperately looking for signs that he would never get back together with Ana. But in that moment, as our faces were bathed in soft candlelight, I saw nothing but pain in Sam's eyes.

I was losing him.

"I'm sure you know how this feels, Veronica." Sam started after a long while. "When you were so crazy about Matt back then—"

"Don't you dare!" I hissed.

"—I just let you be crazy," he continued. "And go after your feelings, even if I thought that Matt was just using you. No matter how insane and stupid and naive you were at that time, I just kept my mouth shut because...because I knew how strongly you felt about him. Even if it was so wrong, I just let you be wrong and crazy because you felt it was so right."

He let that sink in for a while.

"That's all I'm asking of you, Veronica," Sam pleaded. He touched my hand. "I just want you to let me be wrong now."

  17. this means, it's time for you to move out sweetie. have a place of your own. don't torture yourself seeing him get himself into same pitfall you were once it. stay on the sides. just be prepared to catch him when he falls. the same way he did when everything crashed for you.

Sam is right.We all do things when we fall in love, and it may not be right, what we are doing, but at that time it is the most rational, noble, and happiest thing to do a.k.a to follow your heart. Yak! The thing is, we just can’t accept the fact that he’s so much in love with Ana the pig. Hehe
