Off To Canada

After Summer, I dated other women. A few of my close friends tried to hook me up with their single female friends. It felt very much like the sitcom How I Met Your Mother, where everyone keeps hooking Ted up with their single friends and hoping against hope that she might be “The One.”

Maraming maganda. Maraming pwede. I dated a model, a Magna Cum Laude, and even a medicine student. All of them were nice, smart, and beautiful, but I didn’t want to use them to help me move on; that would be unfair to them. So, I decided that I wouldn’t date any of the three--or any woman for that matter--exclusively that time. I didn’t want to be unfair. Ayokong makasakit ng babae.

I, too, have led a directionless life a few years back. I felt empty. I knew deep inside that I was still looking for something and I couldn’t find that here. I asked my parents if I can go to our relatives in Canada for a short vacation. I didn’t tell my parents the real reason I wanted to leave the country, but my mother, well, I guess she had always known. So the month after my resignation, I flew to Canada.

The night before my flight, I drove to our special place in one of the high class villages in Makati. I parked my car in our usual spot, opened the windows, and played the audio CD that contained a collection of love songs that I compiled for Summer. And then I remembered. I remembered it all so vividly...

  3. Finally got to read ur new post brix, i've been waiting for it since last night.. I'm really interested on knowing guy's point of view on things like break ups, moving on.. Cause it seems unusual for a guy to share what he feels.. I'm sure brix ur one hell of a tough guy and that you've finally moved on.. Cause f not, a l0t of girls will feel sorry for you.. :)))
