The Bedroom Blog Diaries: Women Can't Read Maps...Daw

One day in December 2010, Logan and I found ourselves driving from Quezon City to Quezon Province. We left early, around 5AM, give or take a few minutes. We tried the C-6 route in Taytay, Rizal and found ourselves in Sucat Exit in record time.
Maybe it's just me, but driving along the South Luzon Expressway very early in the morning feels, I don't know, invigorating. There's something about the open road, the first break of day, and fast cars that appeal so much to my kindred spirit. I couldn't help but feel more than just excited!
We got lost, by the way, a few kilometers from the Calamba Exit. Logan hates getting lost. I just laugh it off. I mean, it's part of the whole adventure, right? When you get lost, you find something else or something new by accident. Like that time I got lost in Quiapo. I found out that Logan had been frantically searching for me all along and I got to see how cheap they sell fruits there.
So maybe we didn't find something new that day we got lost in Calamba. But we both found out that smiles and cleavages work well with traffic enforcers. After causing traffic in the intersection of a busy town proper, the overly eager chap even escorted us to the point where we should have turned right instead of left.
After several stops to confirm that we were, indeed, on the right track, we finally found the venue. That day, Logan made a mental note not to trust me with any map. Tsk, tsk.

12. @quinn: nice, thatâs a nice way to put it. The male ego plays a big part as to why men are expected to know which way theyâre going. Thereâs nothing worse than a directionless man. Tsk tsk

9. @angel: Oh yes, I agree. But when thereâs no one to ask aside from scarecrows and cows and farm animals, mabuti nang may mapa kesa mawala ka. Hahahaha

7. @ennairen: maybe itâs something about a manâs ego that they rather get lost than ask for directionsâ¦may it be about road trips or relationships. :P

1. i saw an ad that says, men prefer getting lost rather than asking for direction, but women, even if they ask, they still get lost. :)
