"Hey, slow down!" Logan called. "Baka madapa ka niyan!"

Logan and I were running as fast as we could to make it to Ms. O's press screening. We had miscalculated the time it would take for us to drive from his house to Galleria. It was Saturday and the 5PM traffic was ridiculously slow. But it seemed that good ol' Lady Fate was on our side that day and we found a decent parking spot just as the clock struck 6PM. The press invitation said 6PM sharp!

So we ran as fast as we could from the parking lot to Cinema 4 of Robinsons Galleria. Remember the scene in the movie Serendipity when Kate Beckinsale's character ran past the yellow cabs on the road and the hotel guests inside the Waldorf Astoria and shouted "Wait!" when she opened the doors to her soul mate's wedding to another girl? Of course, I didn't look anything like that but I did run as fast as my suede boots could take me. Yes, right in the middle of a crowded mall.

I didn't have to shout "wait!" though, because we quickly spotted Ms. O's assistant right in front of Cinema 4, waiting with our tickets. As soon as we settled in our seats with our complimentary snacks and freebies, Logan and I braced ourselves for yet another vampire movie.

"Hey," Logan whispered just as Edward left Bella curled up in the deep woods.

"Hmm?" I murmured, my mouth greasy and full of buttered popcorn.

"You sure run fast," he whispered in my ear. "Even with your boots on."

"It's one of my many skills," I said, smiling in the dark. He smelled of aftershave, even this late in the day.

"Next time, don't run away from me," his voice turned a notch lower. Huskier. Sexier.

I didn't know if he was flirting with me or simply telling me not to run too fast. I turned to him. His eyes were fixed on the big screen. Bella was now staring out from the same window as months continued to pass. Obviously, Logan wanted me to stew again, and stew I did. When I saw the side of his lips curve into a devilish grin, I knew that he was toying with my patience. Again. And he was playing with words! No way. That's my game.

I took a long sip of soda until my lips felt frosty. I leaned over to him and pressed my frosty lips to his right ear, an area which, I had just realized, was ridiculously ticklish for him.

"I only know one speed," I breathed into his ear and felt his body stiffen. "Let's see if you can keep up."

When I moved away, he looked at me with a facial expression that could only spell desire in so many languages. I raised an eyebrow and cocked my head toward the big screen. Bella was riding a big bad bike now.

The List was starting to be a game of patience. And I was just too happy with my plan to drive him nuts until he cried "Mercy!"

Game on!
