To Do Something Great And Outrageous

So my horoscope for the day read on my mobile phone.

I settled back on my seat and started to doze off on my way to work. When I woke up, I was nearing Buendia already. When I reached Ayala Avenue (AA), I did something I don’t normally do: people watching. Maybe it was because I was still looking for signs, a little push, a little affirmation that I’m doing the right thing.

I noticed that most people along AA are in their late 20s or early 30s. Most of them linger outside office buildings to smoke, talk, flirt, and pant when hot yuppies pass their way.

There are also those who are in their late 40s, most of them wearing grim faces. Is it just me or have they lost the sparks in their eyes and the passions that fuel their drive?

So I wondered, have they done something great or outrageous when they were young? Did they spend their younger years wearing their hearts on their sleeves? Did they make the most of their youth? Did they manage to say what they truly feel about something? Did they act upon these emotions?

Maybe yes. Maybe no. Maybe they continue to spend their lives living with their arms crossed because they are scared to venture out of their comfort zones.

And in my book, they haven’t lived. Now I understand that you haven’t lived until you love.

So I wondered, have they done something great or outrageous when they were young?-I'm still in my early 20's & this is exactly the questions I have in mind everytime I look @ my officemates w/c is just in their late 20's.I believe that every person should not waste their time,we should do the things we love and spend time on things that make us happy.Let's step out of our comfort zone.I'm really enjoying reading this blog.I can relate and I'm learning a lot from V's life/love experiences :)

Now I understand that you haven’t lived until you love. --- i agree... love doesn't always necessarily towards another person. it's also important to love yourself. some even consider that loving oneself first is the prerequisite to love other people. i work along AA too and i kind of notice the same people you've mentioned here. i will start to observe them more closely. maybe i will learn from them, too. thank you. =)
