And then I woke up.

I woke up as clearheaded as I could ever be. The dream felt so real that I had to check if I was, indeed, brunette before finally deciding that yes, I was awake.

Unlike most mornings when I would lie in bed for an hour more, I jumped up, grabbed a clean sheet of paper, and wrote down the dream I had before I could forget it.

When I finally finished and read what I had scribbled down, I couldn't help but think that even in my dreams, I felt like cheating.

So here's what really happened in Puerto Galera...

I was touched and moved by how Logan handled the mess I made during that drunken argument with Charlie. He talked to Charlie's friends and apologized for his girlfriend and her stupid mouth. I was deeply humbled by how Logan managed to still love someone as crazy as I was--so drunk that I bit him; so crazy that I threw things at him in fury; and so mad that I picked fights with two guys I barely knew. In all honestly, sometimes, I can't even understand how someone could put up with a girl like me.

If ever we did break up that night in Puerto Galera, it was only for an hour or two, I really couldn't remember, because all I could think about was the way Logan gently rocked me to sleep that night. Maybe he was still feeling sorry and guilty that he strangled me. Maybe he felt sorry for what happened between Charlie and I. Maybe, after all the things I did to upset him, he did love me more than I could ever know.

All I was sure of was that I left Puerto Galera more stressed than when I arrived.
