7 Romantic Summer Destination DON'Ts

Know what vacation ideas will tick him off, and get tips on how to say CONDOM in your favorite international destinations.

It’s that time of year when you and your honey have every excuse to hie off to a destination of your choice. Just make sure “your choice” involves both of you. If there’s one way you can ruin this sunny season for him, it’s coercing him to go on his worst-nightmare getaway. To know what they are, check out this list:

1. A trip to Cebu just to watch the summer special of ASAP 2010.

2. Anything involving strawberry picking or ukay-ukay finds.

3. A road trip from Manila to Vigan with your entire family. Who’s in the mood for a sing-along?

4. A kalesa tour of your province's pre-colonial architecture.

5. A weekend soul-searching retreat: “Reclaim Your Power, Creativity, and Brilliance.” Actually, a retreat, period.

6. Detoxing for a week at the organic-only, meat-free, air-is-the-new-chocolate health farm.

The 7th thing that could tick off, not just him, but you, too, on a trip, particularly to a non-English-speaking country? Not knowing how to say condom. So avoid the language barrier (for this particular need) with these basic translations:

French: preservatif
Spanish: condon
Italian: preservativo
Dutch: condoom
Australian: franger

13. for a quick weekend getaway, my fiance and I would always go to Tagaytay and stay at our fave hotel, aside from the cold weather we always get to have a romantic dinner. I think this place is just right since it's just a drive away from the city so if we need to getback ASAP we'll be there in an hour or two.

10. Yeah, i agree with elyz. i mean, who wouldn't want to do some good ol' reminiscin' this summer, right? beside, the writer is a American ba or US-based? I mean, hello, ano alam nya with the summer lovin', the Pinoy-style? I doubt if he's even done some kalesa tour or some sing-along in a road trip from Manila to Vigan!
