Let us refresh your memory: Ghosting is when someone you're dating or at least regularly flirting with decides to disappear from your life without warning. But now millennials are all about "breadcrumbing," which sounds weirdly like "benching." And it's literally the worst.
Breadcrumbing is essentially when someone responds to you just enough to still keep you pining and hoping. It's yet another non-committal move, and it's frustrating AF. According to relationship expert Carole Lieberman, "Breadcrumbing is worse than ghosting because it is more sadistic. Ghosting is merely a coward's way out of a relationship. Breadcrumbing is a slow and painful death of a relationship, whereas ghosting makes it clear—eventually—that the person is gone."
You know, because open communication and honesty are apparently too much to ask for.
