Summer's the best time to get sporty. After all, you need to burn more calories than usual to get your desired weight and toned body in time for that much-awaited beach trip.
If you need a little more encouragement to go out there and get sweaty, you may want to treat yourself to a whole new workout wardrobe. And while you're at it, why don't you get into the whole "nationalistic" trend that we see so often these days in both local and even global fashion brands?
Sportswear brand Adidas recently launched their second Philippine Range collection, which features a line of track tops, shirts, and bags with a unique rendition of the Philippine map. With two color combination options—black and gold, and silver and white--these items are either marked with the Philippine flag, the Philippine map, plus the brand’s signature three-stripe printed on the sleeves.
A lot of our local celebrities, not just in the showbiz scene but also in sports, have taken on this trend and are loving their chic and nationalistic sports gear. They include Cosmo cover girls Maja Salvador and Iza Calzado, singer Karylle, gorgeous actor John Lloyd Cruz, sportscaster Lia Cruz, basketball hunks Chris Tui, Enrico Villanueva, Wesley Gonzales, the boys of Magic 89.9's Boys Night Out Tony Toni, Slick Rick, Sam YG, TV host Drei Felix, and local band Sponge Cola, among others.
