Your Fave Stars Lead The Celebration Of A Popular Beauty Brand's 125 Years

Not that many beauty brands can claim to have 125 years of history behind it, so when Avon marked this milestone recently, huge stars were naturally part of the celebration.

Cosmo was there to witness the brand's "Big, Bold, Beautiful" party at RepubliQ in Resorts World, which was graced by Avon's stellar ambassadors: Angel Locsin for Avon Color, Ruffa Gutierrez for Avon Fashions, and Lea Salonga for skin care and Anew.

Hot performer Billy Crawford also entertained the media guests with song numbers and his light-hearted hosting with Ruffa. Together, they introduced the latest cosmetics, skin care products, accessories, and intimate apparel that Avon has in store for women--and men!--in the months to come, and which we will reveal to you here.

Lush Lip Balm In Your Lipstick

Do bold colored lipsticks dry your lips? Be sure to give it the care it needs to keep them always supple and kissable for your man by wearing an uber moisturizing lipstick with ribbons (literally) of moisture in it, like Avon's new Ultra Moisture Rich Moisture Seduction Lipstick (available through all Avon Representatives nationwide for P375 starting June 1, with a special introductory offer of P259 from June 1 to 30).

Avon Color Creative Consultant and celebrity makeup artist Lala Flores showcased three different makeup looks for three different Pinay skin tones--chinita, morena, and mestiza--highlighting which lipstick shade works best for each (see photos of the looks in the gallery). Then she called in Avon Color ambassador Angel Locsin, recalling, "I remember when Angel used to come to shoots very simple, with hardly any makeup on. But look at her now," pointing out Angel's bold red puckers. She was rocking Avon's "Red Kiss" that night, showing how deeply she has fallen for lipstick.

Angel shared her experience with Moisture Seduction Lipstick, which she says feels "like a balm—it applies smoothly and lightly, but has the added color and gloss of lipstick that doesn't flake on my lips." Lala added that this is great for women who are "getting more practical about their makeup," and opting for multi-tasking products (read: colorful lipstick and lip care balm in one).

The lipstick will come in 10 shades: Red Kiss, Fuschia Fever, Marashino, Mocha Plum, Raspberry, Tangerine, Perfect Pink, Silky Peach, Rose Ribbons, and Nude Perfection. As Lala pointed out, "The 10 shades offer a lot of flexibility, so you can go from, say, the gorgeously subtle Nude Perfection during the day to perhaps the dramatically dewy Mocha Plum for after-six socializing."
