Department stores are budget fashionistas' go-to place. Is it yours, too? On the first day of Philippine Fashion Week, fasyon ladies reveal where they get their fashion fix.

June marks the start of a new school year (for college Cosmo chicks), the rainy season, and a new season in local fashion. By now, Philippine Fashion Week has concluded and local fashion is abuzz with the latest trends to watch for, which we saw on the runways just a few days before June began.
Local fashion has been growing over the past years, and it has become a staple in most people’s lifestyle. Every Cosmo chick knows that great fashion is not necessarily dependent on designer brands, expensive labels, or even trends; it’s about feeling good about what you’re wearing and finding a chic look that is as "now" as it is "you." And who says that achieving a fasyon look has to hurt your pocket? That's what department stores are here for--to give every stylish gal her dose of fashion without burning her pay check.
On the first day of Philippine Fashion Week Holiday 2010, SM Department Store revealed their latest pieces from different in-house brands of Ladies Wear, Men’s Wear, and Teens’ Wear Departments. The SMX Function Room was filled with fashionistas and fashion media from all over the metro, all eager to see the hottest items that models sashayed in down the runway.
SM Department Store launched four new collections: Resort, Casual, Work, and Evening. These clothes were displayed through impeccable styling, with finishing touches of killer heels from Parisian and jaw-dropping accessories from WWW and MSENSE. (Watch for our catwalk report soon!)
Guests were asked to come in their ‘fashionably chic’ outfits, and Cosmo sure saw lots of fasyon ladies among the audience. These gals made an effort to dress up in their lovely personal style. And because we were there to watch SM’s fashion show, Cosmo simply had to ask these women: “Do you shop in department stores? Why or why not?”
