Hiyasmin Neri Talks Fashion And Shows Us Kikay Stuff In Her Bag

This stylish young star wants to put her degree in Clothing Technology to use and work in fashion as well as showbiz.

Young actress Hiyasmin Neri wants to become a personal stylist of big celebrities someday. Among these stars are the fashionistas on ABS-CBN's fasyon drama series Magkaribal, Angel Aquino and Gretchen Barretto.

"Nagagandahan talaga ako kay Gretchen Barretto. Pero may isa pang [actress na] nagagandahan [ako], si Angel Aquino. Ang ganda kasi ng bone structure niya—'yung panga niya and 'yung shoulders niya—and very Filipina ang dating niya," the former Kung Tayo'y Magkakalayo actress tells Cosmo.ph.

Does she already have an outfit in mind for both actresses?

Hiyas answers, "Siguro something that would show off 'yung pagiging regal nila, maybe something flowy in pastel, tapos mas fitted sa waist and something with a lot of chiffon—very feminine, very fresh, and elegant."

The 22-year-old newbie celebrity says she still wants to apply what she learned in UP, where she finished BS Clothing Technology, while working as an actress. So, if given the chance, Hiyas also wants to work for a fashion magazine.

"Gusto ko ring i-establish na nasa fashion industry ako and nasa media. So, ano ba ang in between noon? Magazine. Gusto ko ring mag-style sa magazine or something related to fashion pero sa magazine; at the same time, nandito pa rin ako sa industry," she says.

Aside from the now defunct Kung Tayo'y Magkakalayo, Hiyas has also taken roles as secondary characters in other TV programs such as The Wedding and Maalaala Mo Kaya. She has also appeared on the big screen via Xenoa (2008) and Cinema One Original's UPCAT.
