By the time we reached Quezon City, it was past midnight. The rain had stopped but it was a cold night. He took off his jacket and handed it to me.

We were both desperate for coffee. Where’s the nearest Starbucks when you really need it? We stopped by two branches in the Q-Ave area only to find them closed. We both ended up in McDonald’s.
