Tired Of The Party Scene
Posted on December 2, 2011 10:00AM

"Charlie, have you ever felt na parang nakakasawa na 'yung ganito?"
I still didn't answer her question. She didn't seem to mind.
"What do you mean?" she asked.
"'Eto. This. 'Yung buhay na parang pupunta ka dito sa bar with your friends to meet cute guys, and exchange numbers, and maybe hit it off a month later. 'Yung ganyan (I point to the girls who are dancing wildly) and ganyan (I point to the cute guys nearby)."
Charlie looked around the place. She didn't seem to get my point.
"Don't get me wrong," I continued. "I love your company; it's just that this place feels...hindi ko alam kung paano i-describe, e, pero para bang feel ko ang tanda ko na para sa ganito." -
The Bedroom Blog Diaries: Perfect Valentine's Dates Do Happen, After All
Posted on January 19, 2011 12:00AM

I loved the place—the ambiance, the gourmet food, the soft music, the lights. Lucky Logan, a fireworks display went up somewhere near the area, right in the middle of dinner. Of course, he kissed me while different colors filled the dark sky. I began to wonder: Why is it that with Logan...fireworks play a big part in the picture? Haha, go figure.
Places and moments like these exist only in dreams--that’s what I initially thought. Right then and there, I admitted that this date has always been a part of my fantasies. I never thought it could happen in real life, where the usual date spots are highly commercialized restaurants that offer nothing more than stuffy ambiance and expensive, pre-packed food that’s either too greasy or too salty. -
The Bedroom Blog Diaries: Find Romance, Find Isabelo

We stopped in front of a big metal gate and knocked. I was right. A waiter asked Logan for his name, confirmed his reservation, and opened the gate to let us pass.
Wow! It was a different world inside. Elegant lights. Tasteful garden furniture. Soft music. Candles in small glasses on top of tables. Romantic vines, wines, and rustic aura. It was so beautiful.
Logan really knows my taste, I thought. -
The Bedroom Blog Diaries: Finding The Secret Garden
Posted on January 16, 2011 07:00AM

On the way, he told me that the restaurant was located near the Shoe Museum in Marikina City. He had yet to see the place but he told me that he found it online. It's some sort of "secret" restaurant in Marikina that's available only by reservation. He told me that I would love the place. Upon hearing his narrative about secret restaurants in secret locations, I just knew that I would love it.
We passed two of my ancestors' monuments in Marikina. I told him snippets of my family history, pointed out where we held my 18th birthday celebration, and where we can shop for genuine Marikina shoes. We went to Our Lady of the Abandoned Church first, and gave thanks for so many blessings that came our way. Then we turned right on this particular street near the church and made our way down the narrow street to find the "secret restaurant."
Secret was right. We missed the entrance twice and had to maneuver the car around the very narrow street to make our way back. When we saw a well-dressed couple waiting in front of a weather-beaten metal gate (which looks like a factory gate, actually), I just knew that was it. It took us nearly five minutes and a very friendly "kuya" to maneuver the car. Just to be sure, we asked him if he knew this restaurant.
"Restaurant?" he asked. "Naku, walang restaurant dito, kumpare ko lahat ng tao dito, walang restaurant dito. Baka sa kabilang side. Kilala ko lahat ng tao dito e."
"Ah sige po, thank you kuya!" we said.
And so we drove around again.
"Secret nga talaga 'yung restaurant," I said. "Kahit si kuya 'di alam e."
"Oo nga," Logan replied. "Champion!"
To be continued...

The Bedroom Blog Diaries: When Logan Conquered Valentine's Day
Posted on January 15, 2011 07:00AM

Now, back to my story.
Veronica Mars: It’s not like this is all some new facet of my personality. You know who I am! You know what I do.
Logan Echolls: And?
Veronica Mars: And...it isn't gonna change. And if you can't accept that, this isn’t gonna work.”
- Veronica Mars, Season 3, Episode 8, "The Lord of the PIs"
I am demanding. And just like Veronica Mars, it’s not like it’s some new facet of my personality and it isn’t going to change. My Logan knows that if he can’t accept that, this isn’t going to work.
