In a perfect world, we'd never have to get mini panic attacks after seeing clumps of hair fall whenever we shower or brush our hair. However, hair fall still happens despite our best efforts to prevent it.
There are many reasons and solutions behind this annoying issue, but here are six quick fixes to manage:
1. Eat better.
Living unhealthily—with poor diet, lack of exercise, and vices like smoking and excessive drinking—will really take a toll on your body, and your hair is no exception. For healthier hair, eat more food rich in protein, omega-3, and iron. Ditch the caffeine as it can cause dehydration.
2. Avoid hot tools at all costs.
High temperatures can speed up hair fall as it can damage and break the hair strands. Give your locks a break by staying away from your hair dryer, flat iron, and curling iron first. (There are tons of no-heat hairstyle hacks on the internet!) Also, skip washing your hair with hot water and opt for lukewarm instead.
3. Dry your hair smartly.
Ditch the rough towels when drying your locks and opt for soft microfiber ones. The coarse fibers on regular towels can cause friction on your cuticles and break your hair. If you don't have a microfiber towel, an old cotton t-shirt can do the trick as well.
4. Relax.
Stress can manifest in different ways—including hair fall. Avoid excessive stress and loosen up once in a while. Exercise, go on spontaneous trips, read a book, or go shopping for yourself!
5. Be mindful of your ponytails.
Constantly wearing your hair up in tight ponytail or bun can strain your follicles or the roots of your hair. The solution? Change up your hairstyles every day and don't use hair ties that are too tight.
6. Choose the right conditioner.
Don't skip conditioner when experiencing hair fall—doing so will dehydrate and weaken your hair even more. Opt for a nourishing conditioner that increases the elasticity of the hair and reinforce weak areas like Cream Silk Hair Fall Defense Conditioner.
