We all love matte lipsticks. Even if you think you don’t, it is undeniable that they are a must-have in a woman’s lippie collection. But while they look amazing, they do have their own downsides, like how drying and heavy they can be, or how tricky it is to apply them because of their consistency.

Thankfully, you can now pull off the matte lipstick trend with Maybelline’s newest lippie collection, The Powder Mattes by Color Sensational. It is the first ever solid matte lipstick line in the Philippines with a powder matte finish, which means that it is easier to apply without the taut, drying feeling that regular matte lipsticks sometimes give. This makes it a comfortable option to those who love the texture of matte lipsticks but find them drying and uncomfortable on the lips.

The Powdery Mattes collection is formulated to have two times more saturated powder pigments and honey nectar, making the texture hydrating and lightweight. If you’re worried about color payoff, this collection also has an ultra powdery but silky smooth matte finish so you can still enjoy the finished look of matte lippies minus the cement-like feeling.

What makes this new range even more exciting is that it comes in 15 shades that are perfect for Pinay skin tone! Below are the Nudes, the Reds, and the Pinks that will make any lippie lover’s heart jump with joy.

The Nudes

Choose from four nude shades: Make Me BlissTouch of Nude, Nude Illusion, and Barely There if you want to go for a natural but still put-together look. These MLBB shades are perfect for your everyday makeup look whether you’re a busy college girl or a girl boss.

The Reds

Sexy comes in five new shades. Plum Perfection, Noir Red, and Cherry Chic, three of the deeper red shades, are perfect for Pinays with warm tones looking for a splash of color that can warm their complexion. Orange-based shades Get-Red-Dy and Red-Dy Red are made to pop out on girls with fairer skin tones.

The Pinks

For days when you feel like upping your girly charm a notch, choose from these six preppy pink shades: Mauve It Up, Technically Pink, Pink Potion, Fuchsia Flash, Up To Date, and Pink Shot. Mauve It Up is a more subdued color that we’ll wear for first dates or meet-the-parents types of scenarios. We also love Up To Date’s bright pink hue for those days when we need an extra lift of color to brighten up our skin tone.
